On Sunday morning, at around 5 a.m., two men on a bike fired 4-5 shots outside Salman Khan's Bandra residence. Fortunately, no one was injured or killed in the incident. Later in the day, the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the incident through a post on Facebook.

Salman Khan house firing

According to the Facebook post by gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, his younger brother Anmol Bishnoi took full responsibility for the firing outside Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartments. Anmol Bishnoi is wanted for the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala in May 2022. The alleged post appeared online at around 11.30 a.m. It translates as "We want peace. If the only choice against oppression is war, then so be it. Salman Khan, we did this to show you the trailer. So that you get an idea of our capabilities, don't test us."

The Facebook post was signed by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, Goldy Brar, Rohit Godara, and Kala Jathari. It is believed that the threat was made because of Salman Khan's alleged links with gangsters Dawood Ibrahim and Chota Shakeel. The gang has also targeted Salman Khan for his alleged involvement in the 1998 Black Buck killing. The blackbuck is considered a sacred animal by the Bishnoi community.

Police investigation and suspects

The local police have already started investigating the case and have linked the incident to Rohit Godara, who runs the Bishnoi gang in Rajasthan. The police have identified one of the two men on the bike as Vishal alias Kalu, a gunman in the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Vishal is already on the run after the murder of Sachin Goda, a scrap dealer from Rohtak. Sachin Goda was ruthlessly murdered in front of his family at a highway dhaba in Rohtak a month ago.

In addition, officers from the Crime Branch's Unit-9, the Anti-Extortion Cell, and the Crime Intelligence Unit have started a parallel investigation into the case.

Raj Tilak Roushan, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone 9, said, "Two unidentified motorcycle-borne assailants fired shots in front of actor Salman Khan's residence at around 5 a.m. and fled. Around 4-5 shots were fired. We have formed 15 police teams to investigate the matter. We are investigating the case from all angles. We are sure to nab the shooters soon.'
